The first of the Easter Bilby’s Friends books, ‘Banjo Frog’s Concert Spectacular’, tells the story of how Banjo frogs, Glossy-black cockatoos, and Southern brown bandicoots are affected by rabbits, including the lack of regenerating Sheoak trees – the favourite food of the Glossy-black cockatoos. Easter Bilby motivates children and their parents to help by controlling the rabbits and planting trees, shrubs and grasses to provide food and shelter for the animals.
Banjo Frog’s Concert Spectacular is set in South Australia, in the southern Mount Lofty Ranges on the Fleurieu Peninsula. This area is the traditional land of the Kaurna, Ngarrindjeri and Peramangk people.
